Chris was the listing agent on what would become our first home in 2015. When we finally decided to sell that exact home 8 years later, we knew just the person for the job! Chris did a wonderful job highlighting all of the upgrades we had made during our 8 years there, especially because she was so familiar with the property already. She was also very familiar with the area, which helped sell our home. In fact, we had two competing offers by the end of just the first weekend of showings (of which she attended all)! My first experience with chris was when she rented the first floor of my two flat. She always made herself available for showings and was instrumental in guiding me through my first experience as a landlord. And i had wonderful tenants to boot!!
There was no question who i would turn to when it came time to sell!
I had already moved out of state so chris had to coordinate final cleaning, clearing out last minute items, ensuring the property’s security and fielding all the showings by herself. .
She checked in on it weekly (or more often) during the selling and waiting process after the contract had been signed. She had 8 showings over a two day period and got the offers to me as soon as they came in. Finally she was on the spot when it came to helping with questions on contracts and requirements specific to chicago during the closing process.
I would highly recommend her for any of your real estate needs.

I had to relocate quickly and she handled all of the details from cleaners, to negotiating the sale with existing furniture so that i did not have to arrange to have it moved.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Chris Placek this last year in finding our wonderful new condo and I wanted to let someone know how great the experience was. As first time home buyers, my wife and I encountered many miserable and overall outrageous incidences and people. If there was one bright spot, however, it was that we met and chose to work with Chris.
Chris listened very carefully to what we had to say and was very eager to make sure that we found what we were looking for. There are many great things to say about her, but I would just like to summarize by saying that in my mind she gave Baird & Warner a good name, which is not something to be taken lightly. I would not only recommend Chris to others, but also those she works for. She made every effort and was a great help even in matters that she was not required to handle. If all parties involved in buying a home (attorneys, etc.) could be as honest, hardworking, and caring as her, we would have had a paradise in closing for our new home. Sadly, it seems good employees are hard to come by nowdays....so don't let this one go.
